Rebecca Jarrott (Smith)

Owner and Principal Occupational Therapist

 

Bec’s qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy)- 2007, Western Sydney University

  • AHPRA registration- OCC0001742677

  • Current member (2024-2025)- Occupational Therapy Australia

  • Former member (2021-2022): Occupational Therapy Australia Northern Territory Divisional Council

  • PhD candidate- Charles Sturt University (in progress)

    • 2024 NT Health Allied Health Excellence Awards: “Excellence in Research or Quality Improvement”.

    • 2021 OT School of Victoria Clinical Award.

Bec has 17 years of experience as an occupational therapist and worked in NSW, QLD and the United Kingdom before moving to the Northern Territory in 2012.

Bec has clinical experience spanning a range of areas and ages, including paediatrics, rehabilitation, acute hospital settings, remote service provision, community based settings and teaching OT students in the teritiary sector, including guest lecturing roles at Charles Darwin University, Sydney University and Charles Sturt University.

Bec has a passion for occupational therapy and truly believes in the difference OT can make in people’s lives. Bec loves working with people of all ages to improve quality of life and achieve meaningful goals.

With a love of learning Bec is regularly engaged in professional development opportunities and is currently completing a PhD conducting research on an OT cognitive assessment, The PRPP Assessment, when used with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Northern Territory. Bec developed a mild head injury educational resource for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients while working at Royal Darwin Hospital. The multimedia resource is available in 7 languages and freely accessible online: click here.

Bec moved to Darwin in 2012 and has since made it her home. Bec enjoys being outdoors, sewing, reading and enjoying time with her twin daughters.

 

Sara Gad

Occupational Therapist

Sara’s qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy Deakin University (2019)

Sara has 5 years clinical experience. She provided Occupational therapy Services in Brisbane QLD before returning home to the Northern Territory where she grew up. Sara specialises in a paediatric caseload, particularly developmental conditions and she is passionate about seeking additional training and professional development to provide support to a broader paediatric population.

Sara enjoys reading, going to new places, and playing board games. 

 

Constanze de Greenlaw

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Constanze trained as an occupational therapist in Germany graduating in 2007. Shorly after she moved to Australia and she has worked in a range of roles including as a support worker for NDIS participants. Constanze is a long term Territorian and Mum to three children. She has recently started providing occupational therapy assistant services for the Learn and Thrive Therapy team.

 

Kirsten Smith

Virtual Administration Officer

Kirsten is an experienced and efficient virtual administration officer based in NSW.

Kirsten has been supporting Learn and Thrive Therapy since 2021 via her business, Stat Admin Solutions.

Kirsten is a highly experienced health admin officer and she provides excellent administrative support to the Learn and Thrive Therapy team.
